Karma and Gold Star?? Explain this to me...

Can someone please explain to me about "karma" -

Who changed my karma? Whose karma have I changed?? I keep seeing that on my profile and of course I have a big fat zero, but how can you change karma or have your karma changed??

Also, ketuwong? I just assumed that it had something to do with being new or a beginninger. I've noticed a correlation with the names and stars, with each star there is a different name. Why? And what changes this? Your number of posts? How often you come to the message board? Or perhaps your level of Na'vi?


I'm just trying to understand the community!

Therse a guide somwhere but the stars/ranks are based on posts made outside of the "spam" section
And karma is given by other users if you do something good or helpful so dont worry about not having any karma yet

Karma
An simple arbitrary community feedback system which lets you and others know what the community thinks of you and your contributions. If you've just joined or started posting, you'll probably be at zero. Don't worry about it. Note that you need 25 posts to change others' karma (applaud or smite them).
Stars and Ranking System
The colors for users are the same as for any other SMF-powered forum. Don't expect the colors or theme changing any time soon.
