Hello!

I am reposting this, just to be sure people are aware of this new site, that shall regroup and help people that are pretty new to know what is going on in our community.  :)

Numeyua Atan is accessible at http://na.learnnavi.org/ (domain name courtesy of Payoang, thank you very much!)

This site will offer news from the various projects and sites around LearnNa'vi, including language news. I will need help to have news to publish (if you want to see a news appearing on the site, send it to me). I will also need help, as this site is translatable. If you wish to translate the pages and news into your own language (german, russian or chinese), please do tell me and I shall create you an account to publish the pages into your native language.

One of the main features is the possibility to chat directly with people using the video conferencing tool, that shall help to relaunch new Na'vi classes and tutoring for everyone. If you want to try the video chat room, connect to the site, make sure "International room" is selected, enter the Name you usually use in the forum (any name can make it), and enter the following password 'visitor'.

I'd like to have comments back on the site, to know how I can improve it to make it better for everyone. I really want to make this useful and give us and each project more visible.

If you have questions, do not hesitate. I'm open to everything.

EDIT : ok. It does not seem that easy, and I forgot a few stuff.

So to connect, go to the little blue box on the right hand side of the page that is called BigBlueButton. Select one chat room, and enter the name you want.

All servers have passwords, since it is not possible to load password free rooms. Here are the ones for public servers :

International room : 'visitor'

NìNa'vi ni'aw : 'frrtu'

Off-topic room : 'visitor'

Salon francophone : 'visiteur'

Other servers that are not listed here are restricted (such as NgayNume) and you cannot access them unless you participate to the related project (and have received your password).

I can create rooms for those who need one. Just drope a message if you need one.

It was supposed to be an Alpha sign (as the site can still change and that few have tested it a lot up to now). I'll have to change/remove that tonight.

Personal note : avoid working later than midnight.

Is it possible to present things in the International room? I wish that anybody, not just moderators, can share presentations there, since it does not belong to a group and can be accessed publicly, so it should be OK for general presenting and discussions.

Yes. I would give you the moderator password. Just drop me an email and I can give you the moderator password. You shall be able to upload all types of files in the presentation window (Microsoft Office and LibreOffice files, images, PDFs, etc.). You can also show your desktop screen, although I doubt you'll be interested in this feature.

If required, you can also ask me to create a new temporary or permanent room, I am not limited at all.

Just drop me a message and I can do this in very short time.  :)

I think that you should set up another room where EVERYBODY can be the moderator and the topic can be about things other than Na'vi. This way we would have a good platform for sharing things.

Hmm, the thing is that anyone who can log in as moderator is free to push out any logged in user. I can publish the moderator password, but I hope for you there won't be anyone bothering the discussions.  :-\

I'll also create a new room for everything not Na'vi tonight then.

Is there a way to make people able to present but unable to kick other people out?

There si a configuration file where you can activate/disable kickout. The thing is that it will prevent kickout in all rooms. So the best thing is to place these passwords in a forum section that is not visible by non-members, or send the password by private message to people that are here since some time.

Okay, so could you please PM me the moderator password? I promise I won't abuse the system  ;D

Another thing: could it be possible to increase the video quality somewhat? Most people don't need dialup-compatible video that makes you look like you're made of Lego.  ;D
