Site randomly causing my browser to hang.

It seems that when ever I browse this forum, occasionally my browser hangs for 5 to 10 seconds. I find this incredibly annoying but don't think it's the sites fault. Any idea how I can fix this? Sorry is this is the wrong place for this question.

Internet Explorer 7 I believe. Perhaps I should switch to firefox?

A quick google reveals that many people have this problem, I would assume it's the browser. Some solutions I see other people offering are disabling tabbed browsing, clearing your temporary files, history, cookies, etc, and closing programs in the background to free up memory.

Honestly, though, I'd just switch browsers, and see if that works. Simple and quick. I personally prefer Chrome over Firefox, but it's your choice.

Switched to Firefox. Worked perfectly for the past few mins or so. Thanks for the help!
