Ok, so at February 25, 2010, 09:30:17 pm i received a PM from someone... quite usual...

But then now at 12:19 today i received a notification.
Back then i think i had the notify option "on" (now it's on "never").

Just wondering if someone is starting to run a time-travel business with the cooperation of LN.org, or something ;D

I am not sure I understand...  Is it a time/date stamp problem?

You could always check the email source and try to see if it got stuck somewhere.

So you're saying you received the "new PM" email 12 days after the PM came? Probably got stuck in an outbox or a filter somewhere, and the mail server finally got around to dealing with it.

I've had other emails (not from LN) do that in the past, usually sent days (or weeks) before they arrived. I had an email from another site arrive 4 months late once :o

Near... look at the year too :P ;) ;D
I think it beats your record :D

Than it seems that it just got lost in the universe and eventually found it's way back to the Earth?
... call me a skxawng, but i didn't even know that this kind of a delay is possible :P

Yeah, I've gotten the same notifications - private messages received in January 2010. The emails originated from the old GoDaddy servers (look at the email header). Looks like something got stuck in the mail queue. For a year.

I already contacted them a few days ago and just pinged them again. They gave excuses and blabbered something about "the complexity of the issue" causing delays in the analysis.

There's a reason we switched away from them.

Ack. Didn't pay attention to the year. Beats my record by far. 1 year and 12 days for a late email...

GoDaddy, the Rolls Royce of webhosting ::)

I've always hated companies that advertise UNLIMITED bandwidth. It just means that they can pull the plug whenever they feel like it if someone decides that your website is using to much bandwidth...

But why hate them for that, when there are so many better reasons to hate them?

Probably because I haven't yet had the chance (well, reason) to try them out. Lucky me?
