I believe, this is missing:
Quote from: Plumps on February 25, 2017, 05:00:40 AM
Quote from: K. Pawl, 22 Feb 2017Yes, tìfmetok can be a test in school. It can also be a more abstract test, as in "test of strength" or "a test of our resolve." And fmetok is vtr, 'test somebody.' The infixes are indeed 1, 2. (Fmetok has nothing to do with tok.) Here's a line from the original Avatar script, for the scene where Neytiri has brought Jake to Hometree for the first time, and Mo'at has just examined him:

    Neytiril fmayetok fìtsamsiyut.
    'Neytiri will test this "warrior."'

So, fmetok is vtr. and infix 1,2.

Also a little error report:
Example from the NaviData.sql:
VALUES ('1632','rä\'ä','ɾæ.ˈʔæ',NULL,'part.')
The IPA for æ is broken...

I also noticed this a few versions back. I took care of it locally on my machines using s&r, but someone will need to hop on EE and fix æ in the IPA field

EDIT: I haven't automated that fix on my machines, so it appears all my local stuff is affected by this again.

Toruk Makto

Someone must have fixed it on EE.  Looks ok from here.

I just cloned the db to my machine again from NaviData.sql

I see this:

mysql> select ipa from metaWords where `navi`="rä'ä";
+-----------------+
| ipa             |
+-----------------+
| ɾæ.ˈʔæ        |
+-----------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

mysql>

The strange thing is, everything seems to render fine on http://learnnavi.org/navi-vocabulary/

EDIT: Dictionary PDF also renders okay.

All other apps using data cloned from NaviData.sql are still affected.

Tìtstewan

on the websites looks ok because i used a fixed db, ma tirea. :)

What is this `fixed db` sorcery you speak of? I'm about to write s&r scripts for my local text files. O_0

I use alt-0230 to create the æ character in the main word db.  UTF-8/UTF-16 problem?

It used to work for years and now recently it's wonky. Could it be a side-effect of what Tuiq did recently-ish to fix the Russian char support?

I don't really know what he did, so I can't say.  My brain says it shouldn't have, but if the timing works, we may need to ask about it.

Updated and tweaked the definition of pongu.  New version 13.331

I also took the dictionary off the Cloudflare cache (got tired of manually having to flush it after ever edit). Our bandwidth can handle it.
