The server was just down for a while.  Any news on the cause of this?  It was completely unresponsive to pings for over half an hour...

Best I can figure it was a reboot from a kernel panic from the ipfilter module I spun up yesterday to firewall off certain things on the box. I am replacing that with ipfw.  The httpd daemon did not restart due to an error in rc.local. That has been fixed.

Yeah I got locked out by the "Ban Ikran forever!" until now! is that because of the server change?

Probably, but saying that will probably get you rebanned now. Unless the mods are nice and let you stay...

Like over 2k people there have just registered a few weeks/months ago but they only have 4 posts or something and are way too unactive

From the number of hits in the logs, I would venture the guess that most of these folks are content to read through the forums. They are active, but are in receive mode.

It might just be me but, I have been experiencing times where the site just won't load (it takes me to the "Cannot connect to server" page) It happened frequently on my Wii and it happened twice on my computer. The second time it started to load VERY slowly and it wouldn't display the background. It is working fin now though.

There are little things happening behind the scenes as we continue to tune the new server for best performance.  Hopefully we will have everything on the new server settled in by this weekend.

On the topic of our website, the header at the top of the learnnavi.org website that says "Sign up for our FREE Na'vi Language newsletter!" does not work even though you get the pointer finger when you hover over it.
