Kaltxì everyone!  :D

I'm very new to the Na'vi language but I'd like to start off with a translation of my name as well as my dogs, if possible of course.

My name is Sharon. It's of Hebrew origin which means "A fertile plain"
As for my dogs, their names are Luna and Toby.
Luna is of Latin origin meaning "Moon".
Toby is of Hebrew origin as well meaning "God is good"

I've used a name generator for my name to test it and I got Sylwanin. I don't even know if it's accurate or not.

Any help at all would be appreciated! Thank you!

Kaltxì ulte zola'u nìprrte'!

There are some ways availalbe for translating a name. So, let's see.

'akra "fertile soil" with txayo "plain" as txayo 'akrayä "Plain of fertile soil" that would be very close to your name's meaning, but I guess this would be a bit too long as name. :-\

As for Luna, there is a word for moon in Na'vi which is oare.

And for Toby, hmm this would be Eywa sìltsan lu, but long as name, too.

Sylwanin is the name of Neytiri's sister. :)

An alternative way would be to transcribe the names.
Sharon -> Syaron
Luna -> Luna
Toby -> Topxi (if you want the Reef Na'vi variant, it would be just Tobi) :)

And Sharon would be Sharon in Reef Na'vi :)

Thank you so much for your help with the translations and the transcribes! I really appreciate it!  :-[

I do have a question regarding the translation for txayo 'akrayä.

Would it be possible to use Akrayä or Akraya as a Na'vi name?

I know it isn't correct in terms of the translation and I've learned that
-yä is used for genitive cases so would it be proper use or not?  ???

If you want to use just Akrayä or Akraya as name, I'd say just use it. :)
