I finished printing this giant packet a few minutes ago, it took a while to get our old computer to respond. I'm on the first word seach and I admit that it's not that easy to spot those Na'vi words. The big words are the most complicated to me. I really hope that I'll be able to find them with less complications in time.

LoL know me to print out and old version as well. =P oh well back to the drawing board.
this book is the one thing that even came close to rekindling my interest in learning after the mobile app stopped working and thusly wasn't getting updates as it had someone Speaking the words you looked up in the form of mp3 files.
but i still find a difficulty following it. maybe i'm just over complicating things for myself. dunno
:(

Edit: As point will there ever be a Kindle friendly version?

Edit2: can i assume this as been all but abandon by it's creator =(

sae the ink though unless you have a pen ready to make corrections as you find them. so far during my learning process i've been made aware of a number of things in it that were wrong. =(
shoulda just left it as a pdf
but oh well, something for Tirea to keep joking about!  ;D

It's free printing it at my school, so I'm good with ink and paper.  ;) and if/when I catch any mistakes, I'll post them so you can change it.  ;D

Great idea, however one small issue, and why they created a forum thread I'm betting.
Copyright©. Dusty owns the rights, so a republish requires his written permission.
Setting that he doesn't reply it makes that impossible  :-(. But great idea non the less

so, am I not allowed to print, then? ??? the printer was broken, so I haven't printed yet, but I found out I can bind it into a book for easier transportation between home and school. But if that violates copyrights, then I won't print it... :(

You CAN print it, you even are expected to print it - see page 8:
QuoteHow to use this book:
Print it*, bind it, read it. (Repeat twice)
What is not allowed are changes into the book with agreement of the author.

Tirea Aean would have a fun time with this!

The dictionary has had 3 updates ( albiet minor one's ) in the last 1 week so changing too much to be in a position to print.
as for the moment i have this printed myself but there is a thread with dozen's of corrections ( wish i had read a bit more before printing.
maybe would have just printed the flash cards and things like that.

here's what i have in my binder if it helps.

Na'vi in a nutshell, A Crash coarse in Linguistics, Na'vi alphabet, Na'vi grammer cheat sheet, and Wm. Annis' "Reference Grammar of Na'vi"

:)

Irayo! Found them all here http://forum.learnnavi.org/beginners/(for-beginners)-links-to-useful-documents/ printing right now, and then upstairs for binding.  ;D anything else that would help? (I already have the available podcasts from omängum fa'uti in my Ipod, and I fall asleep listening to them every night. :D )

txantsan fmawn!
I've gotten a reply back from Dusty White (Aka Kaltxì Palulukan ) regarding this book!
He is more then happy to update the book with corrections and has apperantly been emailed about this in the past but without the offer to help with the corrections. He reserve's the right's to check the corrections, and thusly also bring the printed version up to date ( which is making no money currently and basically pays for the costs to have a printed and bound version )
AWESOME! I'm going to start getting into this with both hands, as not only will it help me learn, bt will benifit others for ages who will be learning as well!
feel free to msg me with corrections as i'll be compiling a list of the updates needed!

There are supposed to be 8 volumes, right? Are 2nd-4th volume here yet?
In the unwieldy situation of knowing way more grammar than vocab

Until now, just first book was released. I'm afraid that work on other volumes was stopped....

I really hope Kaltxi Palulukan! will issue subsequent volumes. He has done a very nice job on the first one.

I purchased several of the very nicely bound copies of this book for sale at Amazon.com, and keep them on hand for anyone seriously interested in learning Na'vi.
